Emily Monkman is a registered massage therapist originally from Kamloops, BC. She grew up spending much of her time outdoors. Winters were spent skiing at Sun Peaks, and in the summer she hiked and camped with friends and family. Emily moved to Kelowna to pursue her education in the Vancouver Career College Massage Therapy Program. Throughout her program, she worked with a variety of
patients and conditions including geriatric care, prenatal massage, athletics, neurological patients, and in headache and chronic pain management.
During treatment, Emily focuses her patient-centred care by tailoring each treatment to suit the individual. She uses a variety of techniques including trigger point release, myofascial release, passive and active stretching to help her patients get back to their personal best.
Emily is also education-focused, with future plans to complete her Bachelor of Health Science Degree; and take upper level courses in Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques.
In her free time Emily loves to travel, hit the slopes at Big White, or explore the beautiful Okanagan.
