Allie Bruce-Fuoco Registered Physiotherapist
MPT, BScHKS

Allie graduated from the Northern cohort of UBC ’s Master of Physical Therapy program in the fall of 2023. Being a part of the Northern cohort in Prince George allowed Allie to have a unique experience in Northern and rural healthcare practice from all corners of the province. After completing her Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics degree at the University of Ottawa, Allie set her sights on physiotherapy school and returning to her home province of BC.

Allie was born in Chilliwack, BC but moved with her family in 2008 to Ottawa, ON. During her time in Ottawa, Allie became a highly competitive athlete through her training in Scottish highland dancing. Her commitment to her craft granted her many successes including being a two-time national champion (2013, 2023) and placing top 3 in the world (2013). Allie still dances competitively while also teaching highland dance to the younger generation. Allie’s experience in this community has contributed to her beliefs in the importance of physical activity throughout childhood and adolescence. Allie likes to place emphasis on exercise for rehabilitation in her practice and encourages every one of her patients to be active throughout the lifespan, but also believes in the role of manual therapy. Although Allie has experience working with all ages and populations, she has a keen interest in paediatrics.

Allie is incredibly excited to begin her physiotherapy career in the bustling city of Kelowna. In her free time you can find Allie at dance practice as well as teaching highland dance. She is also passionate about the outdoors and enjoys running, hiking, paddle boarding and bouldering.
